Show us your stuff – July moodboard

The challenge over at Show us Your Stuff is to create a winter layout with blues and greys in the colour palette. I have been a bit cheeky with the title “cool kid” which doesn’t really refer to the climate! Unfortunately we just don’t get really cold weather in north Queensland, but my grandson was dressed warmly and was playing indoors . I apologise for the quality of the photo of the layout but I am submitting this just a few hours before the deadline and have missed any chance of natural light.

I have made the star from felt and cross stitched the button heart. All the smaller arrows are hand punched.DSC02864

Scrapbook Boutique July moodboard

Just in the nick of time! I need a masculine card in a hurry and the moodboard from Scrapbook Boutique gave me the inspiration – white, blue and grey circles. Well…. the circles became cogs but otherwise the colours fit in! I embossed the grey base card with a checker plate embossing folder and then swiped with a silver ink to highlight the embossing, then added cogs circles and string before finishing with black ink.

Archiscraps July Moodboard

Distressing and wood – a great challenge for this photo of my grandchildren at the alpaca farm. I have used wood grain paper for the background as well as wood veneer hearts and frame. Thanks for the challenge.

Pixels and Paper July Moodboard

I was inspired by the grey and misty tones in the moodboard to create my layout. My grandchildren are playing inside and do have warm clothes on but really it doesn’t get too cold here for very long! Nonetheless it is winter.

Thanks for the challenge.DSC00026

ARTastic July Challenge

I love the muted tones in the painting and the rural theme. I was inspired by the colours, the trees and the subject matter to create my layout.

123 Challenge- July

This months challenge is really pretty with the requirement to use pastel shades, glitter and the word priceless. I have chosen to use an Easter photo of my grandchildren which has been on my desk for a while now. The embellishments came from Funky Flairs – thank you Eve.

Although it is not easy to make out in the photo of my layout, the scrolled border of the doily is glittery.

Scrap The Boys -July Challenge

The challenge this month is to scrap a layout with the theme “Take me to the Ocean”. This  challenge IS my husband – sailing, snorkelling, swimming,  fishing or just enjoying the oceans beauty. He loves the sea.
