Wild & Free

Hi, I love this photo of my DH taken many years ago. He has always had a great love of the sea and is always so happy on the water. He has passed this love of the ocean on to our sons too.

I am combining a few challenges with this layout.

Thanks to Off the Rails for the gorgeous moodboard. The aqua blue water and seascape inspired my layout clouds and theme

This month sees fathers day in America and the Golden Globe challenge from Scrap Our Stash celebrates this special day. I have used the following items from my stash

F – flair,frayed fabric  A – anchor,  T – Tassel and twine, H – heart and hessian, E- enamel dots, R – rub on

The Creative studio has a nautical themed moodboard – To the Sea. I have used the gorgeous 7 Gypsies sun rub on and burlap available from Canvas Corp Brands

The posture of the man in the moon reminded me of the posture of my husband in this photo ( even though he’s not in a chair!!) The sombre colours also influenced my colour choice. I have used a silver star flair from Creative Embellishments and also a sun rub on as my celestial items

# Game On

Hi, I am combining 2 challenges with this layout.

The sweet sketch #329 from sketches in Thyme with the striking moodboard from the Scrapbook Boutique. Thanks to both sites for the inspiration.

Here is my take

I have tipped the sketch on its side for my portrait photo.

The spots the dice from the moodboard inspired me to use the domino patterned paper and the black, white and red colours also inspired me.

White with 1 June challenge

I love black and white and this month the challenge over at White with 1 is to use Space Frontier with white. There is also an awesome sketch!!

Thanks to the team who have once again come up with some amazing pages.

Here is my take. I have included some very cute resin figures from the Resin Rainbow  in my embellishment cluster and lots of stash busting scraps of patterned paper!

Scrapbookit June challenge

Thanks Jane from the Scrapbookit design team for another great challenge. The sketch is so cute and I have used watercolours (pale pink wash for the background), some stamping  on the background and a very subtle layer of mist through a stencil on top of some areas of the watercolour.

Loved this challenge from Challenge YOUrself – I found 2 photos of myself taken approximately 60 years apart. It is amazing to reflect on life over this time span. Thanks to the team for their inspiration,DSC03916

I have used the gorgeous paper / sketch challenge which included chevron patterned paper from Rochelle Spears too. Thanks for the inspirationblogheader 4 copy1sfjune

I loved the photo prompt from Challenge YOUrself # 53 and was inspired by the colours and outdoor theme. I have used a photo of myself dwarfed by the huge redwoods in Rotorua New Zealand. Thanks for the inspiration and to the design team for sharing their fabulous takes on the challenge

Here is my take

I have also used triangles as the inspiration from Archiscraps. Thanks to the team for such great inspiration too.

ARTastic June Challenge

This painting “Milking Time” by Eliot Gruner evokes such beautiful and serene feeling. The inspirational artwork and the criteria of a country theme are this months challenge over at ARTastic.

Here is my take. I was inspired by the earthy tones with a touch of blue and the word time in the name of the painting – time to brush the horse for my little friend

Head on over to ARTastic and give this months challenge a go
