unstampabelles #77

This month the challenge at Unstampabelles is

#77: Decorate Something Wooden

I used some chalk paint on an old pine frame that I picked up at the recycling depot. Then I proceeded to rub a lot of it off to give an aged effect for the childhood photos of my brother and me. I used corrugated cardboard to back the photos and painted the word memories in white before spraying – this was a fun challenge and something different for me. Thank you for the inspiration.

Challenge YOUrself #51

Hi, The challenge this month over at Challenge YOUrself is to create a layout using the bingo prompts. I have used the diagonal top left to bottom right – stickers ( Kaisercraft word stickers ), a photo of my husband and I and die cuts ( from Cocoa Vanilla).

Thank you for another fabulous challenge and inspirational design team projects.

Heart these kids

Hi, I am combining 2 challenges with this layout- the fun “Golden Globe” challenge from scrap our stash which requires a happy or lucky themed layout and the use of emojis and..    from Scrapbookit, the prompt is to use shapes, include reference to the shape in the title and to use a new product or technique.

I have used triangles, rectangles in the texture paste background, circles in the yellow paper ,emojis and heart button, and hearts for the love emoji  eyes and hand cross stitched button. The new products used are Paynes grey acrylic paint and the cocoa vanilla paper from the Bohemian Dream collection used in the blue and white triangles.

I have used photos of my grandchildren having such a fun time riding their boogie boards – happy to be together and lucky to have the waves  just the right size for them to have fun.

Thanks for the inspiration and to the design teams for their fabulous projects.

CCB March Spring and Butterflies challenge

The mood board over at CCB is so pretty – butterflies and spring. We are heading into Autumn is the southern hemisphere but  blues and cream colours are right for any time of year. I have made a tag featuring a butterfly and natural tones. Its hard to see but the butterfly is fussy cut and sitting above a similar image.

Thanks for the inspiration.DSC03284

Scrap the Girls – March challenge

Not sure what happened to the link up initially but the first entry seems to be linking to the wrong blog post . Can’t seem to delete that link so sorry – I’m trying again!!

As soon as I read the words “Don’t mess with me” I knew I had to use this photo of “Wonderwoman” aka my usually happy granddaughter who was obviously having a bad moment. Thanks to the design team for their fab inspiration and for a great challenge.

Kraft Plus March Challenge

Hi and thank you to the team for another great challenge – a sketch and fussy cutting. I love to fussy cut and find it really relaxing. I cut the brown and white flowers by hand ( and the tags) but used a die cut for the black spray. I have had the scrap of the tropical flower paper for ages, it was tiny but I managed to get just enough flowers – it was so good to do a bit of stash busting and the flowers suited the tropical background in the photo

Thanks to the team too for their inspiration.DSC03275
