Scrapbookit June challenge

Thanks Jane from the Scrapbookit design team for another great challenge. The sketch is so cute and I have used watercolours (pale pink wash for the background), some stamping  on the background and a very subtle layer of mist through a stencil on top of some areas of the watercolour.

Remember

Loved this challenge from Challenge YOUrself – I found 2 photos of myself taken approximately 60 years apart. It is amazing to reflect on life over this time span. Thanks to the team for their inspiration,DSC03916

I loved the photo prompt from Challenge YOUrself # 53 and was inspired by the colours and outdoor theme. I have used a photo of myself dwarfed by the huge redwoods in Rotorua New Zealand. Thanks for the inspiration and to the design team for sharing their fabulous takes on the challenge

Here is my take

ARTastic June Challenge

This painting “Milking Time” by Eliot Gruner evokes such beautiful and serene feeling. The inspirational artwork and the criteria of a country theme are this months challenge over at ARTastic.

Here is my take. I was inspired by the earthy tones with a touch of blue and the word time in the name of the painting – time to brush the horse for my little friend

CanvasCorp Creative Studio blog challenge

Hi, This month the challenge is to use watercolours on your project. I have chosen to use a pale pink watercolour wash in my background. After I roughly applied the wash and allowed it to dry I reapplied the watercolour through a mask to create some more interest and without removing the mask I added another depth of colour with tattered angels glimmer mist. The flair and tassel are both hand made. This was a really fun challenge – I love the versatility of watercolours

Love You – May Challenges

Hi , I am combining a few challenges with this layout featuring a photo of my grand daughter. . I have chosen the gold, peach and white colours and florals from the Dusty Attic Moodboard and used the Dusty Attic chippie frame painted gold.

Th CSI challenge #254 also inspired my colour choice , while flowers, bling,  gold elements  and book paper came from the evidence.

The gold spoon and gilt edge of the china and the blossoms in the moodboard from the scrapbook boutique inspired my use of gold ( gelatos used on the edges of the background which  started out as a sheet of white card stock as well as the gold paint on the chippie and title) and flowers.
