Inspire

Hi, I generally dislike having my photo taken so challenges that require a photo of yourself are a real challenge!!  However I am up to the challenge and have used a photo taken of me at the Bernacchi Tribute in Hobart. I love the bronze self portrait statues of the early Antarctic Explorer – it really inspired me to put myself out there. I have used some beautiful papers and embellishments from Cocoa Vanilla.

Thanks for the challenge.

Archiscraps -April challenge

The challenge this month over at Archiscraps is to use sewing in a layout. I love to sew and often combine scrapbooking and sewing. Co incidentally I stitched the cape that my oldest granddaughter is wearing. I have used machine stitching on this layout. Thanks for another wonderful challenge again this month.

Scrapbookit April challenge

Great – a double layout! I love doubles when there are lots of photos about a particular event. I added even more space for photos by using flaps!! We recently experienced some of cyclone Debbie’s fury with the eye crossing about 100kms north of us – much too close for comfort and devastating for those just a little north and on the Whitsunday Islands. The repairs will be a massive undertaking for many.

123 challenge – April

I loved the pretty challenge over at the 123 challenge blogspot this month – the colour pink, the word beautiful and hearts, . I used watercolour paints to give a pink wash to the white background paper then  I stamped over this with a heart script stamp some doodling and a butterfly stamp. I used fussy cut flowers, hearts and a tassel in my embellishment clusters. Thanks Alicia and the team for the inspiration.

Kaisercraft sketch challenge – March

What a great sketch this month over at the kaisercraft blog – a multi photo challenge. I love to use more than 1 photo to tell the story. Thanks for the inspiration. I have used papers and embellishments from the High Tide collection and some wooden kaiser words with the addition of some hessian and corrugated card.I used a kaisercraft punch for the tags and kaisercraft “bark” ink too.

Here is my take on the sketchDSC01317.JPG
