It was fun and very messy creating the mixed media background with gesso, inks, mists, masks, stamps and texture paste. Thanks for the sketch.

I loved the soft and pretty colours in the moodpboard and wanted to use mainly greys with just a touch of pink for this very bright photo. I hand punched the doily with a corner punch and I just love the pale pink flower from D’Lish scraps.

Stamping is so much fun. I loved this challenge. I have used Kaisercraft stamps and masks and handmade the star and chevron.

My grand daughter took this photo of the 2 of us when she was playing around with Photo Booth during the last Christmas holidays. It is a memory that I really wanted to record.

I really liked the clean lines of the sketch and decided to use some of the Kaisercraft Sail Away collection to complete my layout with the addition of die cut mini anchors, hessian, corrugated cardboard, string and recycled clothing tags. I fussy cut the large anchor from chipboard and embossed it with black and copper to give a “rusty” effect.
One of my favourite places to be is on the water, anchored up near an island. This usually means no-one else is around (apart from my husband). I really enjoy these times of peace and solitude but was very happy to have the company of this gull which took up residence on the outboard and appeared to pose for the camera!
Loved the challenge – thank you

Such a pretty moodboard – thank you. Here is my layout featuring my darling granddaughter with fussy cut roses and microbeads in the embellishments.

I loved these gorgeous soft colours which seemed to work well with the photo of my granddaughter caught in a pensive mood at the beach

It’s quite amazing that I actually felt extremely peaceful working with just white , the word peaceful and flowers. Thank you to the challenge designers at 123 challenge blog. Here is my take on the challenge. I made the organza flowers using circles of fabric held close to a flame. I am so happy with the way they turned out.

Wow! I loved the moodboard and immediately thought of this photo taken in a middle eastern restaurant of a group of friends off for a girls weekend to celebrate a special birthday. The colours reminded me of the decor and the doors inspired the shape of the pocket which lifts out to reveal heaps more photos of the weekend.

This month’s challenge was jester red. I thought red would be a great colour for this photo of my grandson – it picks up the wheels of the scooter which was the significant feature of the photo (apart from my grandson himself!)
I have mostly used scraps of paper from my stash. I painted bubblewrap adhered to a rolling pin and “rolled out” the base layer of the background.
