Scrapbooking Top 50 January challenge

Be happy, be bright, be you – a lovely sentiment indeed. Here is my take on the challenge. I used lots of Cocoa vanilla embellishments on this as well as a hand made cross stitched button..

Love and adore

I have used the sketch from “Scrap our Stash” for this layout of my grand daughter and used a monochromatic colour scheme as per the challenge over at “Off the Rails” this month.

Scrap our stash have the additional challenge of using embellishments that start with the letters GOALS. I have used  Gold (heart and paper) Ombre paper for the background and the large pennant,an Ampersand, Lace and Sequins. This was a really fun challenge.

I have also entered this at Archiscraps where the challenge is to use lace ( the doily and the strip under the flowers)

Picture This Challenge – January

This months challenge over at Picture This was to get creative with texture, mixed media and textiles – a perfect combination to get messy! I have created the mixed media background with texture paste, mist and stamps. To add texture and textiles I have used felt and flyscreen to make the clouds and have added florists weave under the photo. The wooden embellishments also add some texture. Thanks for another great challenge.
