Scrap the Boys August Challenge

For me was a real challenge to use a large photo as I seem to have gotten into the way of using quite small images…so thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone!!  I have used a sand/dirt coloured mixed media background incorporating clocks as I think the photo of my grandsons is timeless – I have a very similar one of their father with his brothers at the beach taken many years ago!

Unstampabelles August challenge

This month the challenge is to create a collage background with a mixed media twist. I have used torn paper inked on the edges for my collage and added white texture paste through a script stencil and ink through the crosses template and the water mark template. I have also added a few different types of washi tape in torn strips. Thanks for another great challengeDSC01824

Kraft Plus – August challenge

This month the challenge is all about trees and I immediately thought of this photo taken recently at the Mackay botanical gardens. During the local arts festival the gardens sponsored a fabulous light show “Illuminate” each evening. I have kept the layout quite simple using a die cut from Dlish scraps, mist, washi tape and wood veneers  to highlight the photo  and the hand stitched title.
