Celebrate – October challenges

hi, I am combining the Scrappy Friends and Rochelle’s rewind challenges with the Oct 15 CSI challenge with this layout. Thanks for your inspiration.

I have used hearts, texture paste (used with acrylic paint over a stencil) and flowers from the Evidence clues, documented a birthday celebration in the testimony and used the colour palette of pale pink (watercolour wash within the stitched rectangle) ,pale turquoise ( heart under the flowers),   scarlet(flowers) . black(stitching, title, heart, photo mount and filmstrip)and white(flower, doily and background card)DSC02348

My 1 word title – celebrate fits in with the Scrappy Friends challenge

And the sketch from Rochelle Spears Rewind challenge. I have used machine stitched rectangles painted with a watercolour wash and then roughly stencilled with pink texture paste.

Love – October Challenges

Hi, I have combined a few challenges with this layout. Thanks to the design teams from Challenge YOUrself and Off the Rails and Scrap Our Stash for their fabulous inspiration.

Here is my layout DSC02346

I live In tropical North Queensland where the seasons are not really well defined – just summer (wet) and a little cooler and dry.  So Fall or Autumn is not a season I experience at home ‘ The moodboard colours inspired my choice of photo taken earlier this year in the Tasmanian wilderness and the title of Love.

I have chose the Left hand column, the colour orange( using the amazing colour blast shimmer dust), a doily and mini alphas

I have chosen orange to compliment the grey and white.

Thanks for looking x
