The studio challenge – Jan 14

The mid-month challenge over at The studio challenge is to use snowflakes. Although we live in a tropical climate many of the Christmas themed store promotions are “winter wonderland” based.  So I have used this photo of my grandchildren sitting on a polar bear seat in front of “snow” covered trees. I have included a few red coloured snow flakes amongst the collectables in the wreath.

Cherish – January challenges

Wow, I love the colour Bayou blue and this month’s moodboard over at White with1. I was also inspired by the bowl of m&ms and used the circular rose stencil and then painted over that in watercolour stripes using the striped fabric bolts as inspiration.

Thanks for this great challenge. Here is my take.

I have used the sketch from Sketches in Thyme to complete my layout.

Scrap the Girls -January moodboard

I love the colours in this mood board over at Scrap the Girls and the words “make your life a story with telling” is so true. I have captured 2 of my granddaughters sharing a special moment in this layout.

The colours and circle shapes caught my eye. Thanks for the inspirationDSC03024footermoodboard

I have also used the sketch from Sketches in Thyme as an inspiration for my layout

Hi, I am combining 2 challenges with this winter layout. As I live in the tropics and swelter my way through the current heat wave it was so refreshing to scrap these photos taken last February in Tasmania. We were driving through the highlands when a small snow flurry occurred quite unexpectedly! We weren’t really dressed for it but were only out of the car long enough to take some photos.

So I have a winter themed layout with snow flakes and white sequins for the SOS challenge and have used the sketch from Sketches in Thyme. Thanks for the inspiration

You shine

Hi, I am combining 2 challenges with this layout of my beautiful grand daughter. I have solved case # 245 from CSI and used the criteria of a including a tassel for Archiscraps. Thanks to both teams for the fabulous challenge and great design team inspiration.

I have used the case file clues of colour ( black, off white, celadon, mustard and khaki), evidence of woodgrain, polka dots and architectural element (the frame reminded me of windows) and testimony inspiration word shine.245 copybanner_r3
