CanvasCorp Creative Studio blog challenge

Hi, This month the challenge is to use watercolours on your project. I have chosen to use a pale pink watercolour wash in my background. After I roughly applied the wash and allowed it to dry I reapplied the watercolour through a mask to create some more interest and without removing the mask I added another depth of colour with tattered angels glimmer mist. The flair and tassel are both hand made. This was a really fun challenge – I love the versatility of watercolours

Th CSI challenge #254 also inspired my colour choice , while flowers, bling,  gold elements  and book paper came from the evidence.

The gold spoon and gilt edge of the china and the blossoms in the moodboard from the scrapbook boutique inspired my use of gold ( gelatos used on the edges of the background which  started out as a sheet of white card stock as well as the gold paint on the chippie and title) and flowers.

Kaisercraft May challenge

This month the challenge is a sketch over at Kaisercraft and the design team have created some fabulous projects to share.

I have used papers from the Wandering Ivy Collection and mini pad papers as well as the sticker sheets. Some of the flowers in the clusters are fussy cut while others are cut from the sticker sheet. The non Kaisercraft products used are a heart flair that is hand stitched and the title Dream which is a die cut.

Kraft Plus – May Challenge

What a great challenge this month over at Kraft plus – the challenge is to include the date on the layout. Thank you so much to the design team and the sponsors for this fun challenge- I really appreciate the time and effort required to keep up these monthly challenges.

Journalling is a really important part of scrapbooking for me and the date is the bare minimum as far a jogging the memory about a particular photo. I have chosen a very special photo for this final Kraft plus challenge – Our family all got together from different parts of the state to celebrate Christmas together last year. I loved seeing our sons sitting back and enjoying life with the traditional boxing day test match telecast on TV.

Hi , I am combining a few challenges with this layout. The fabulous fire moodboard from Off the Rails, the star sketch # 323 from Sketches in Thyme , and the challenge to use cork from Archiscraps.

Here is my take. The lights on the stage reminded me of the colour of flames and Jessica Mauboy,a true star of the stage, was certainly giving her all in the performance – hence the title “On  fire “. I have used a couple of round  cork flairs in the embellishments too.

http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com.au

This month really got me thinking – and when I came across the tiny mother of pearl whales in my stash I decided to use some whale watching photos that I have had for a while . The gorgeous Corbett creations wood veneer title was perfect . Thanks to the team for your inspiration.
