Scrap the Girls July challenge

This month the mood board is a little dark inside and I must admit that I found it a real challenge until I found the quote “What if I fall? Oh but my darling what if you fly “. I  have used a photo of 2 of my beautiful, strong willed grand daughters , sitting up on a rock wall – I thought that suited the quote perfectly. I was inspired by the greys and reds and the diamond shapes in the mood board too.

Thanks to the design team for their inspiration

Perfect day

Hello. Today I would like to share a layout that I have done using the inspiration from CSI casefile # 258 and the July 15 blend a sketch challenge from Scrap our Stash. Thanks to both sites for their fabulous inspiration.

I loved the nautical/ beach theme of the CSI mood board and was particularly inspired by the beach objects scattered over the page.  I immediately thought of the cute FabScraps paper on the left of my layout. I have used the colour theme and journaling strips to records some thoughts about the day too.

This months blend a scketch was a little challenging for me! I used the left hand background of a divided page and substituted one photo for 4 . From the right I have substituted the hearts on a strip with fussy cut lighthouses.

Birthday card

hi, today I am sharing a birthday card inspired by the Unstampabelles fancy frame or border challenge and the mood board from The Scrapbook Boutique.

I have used a border punch around the white card stock before adding the Kraft embellishments. The burlap flowers were die cut and the butterfly fussy cut from printed card.

I was inspired by the colours of the sand , hat and sandals from the mood board and used kraft and white for my card.

Cherish the little things

Hi , I am combining 2 challenges with this very bright layout. – the sketch challenge from Scrapbookit and the moodboard challenge from Archi-scraps.

Thanks to both sites for this fabulous inspiration and to their design teams.

The Scrapbookit challenge also required the use of

1. A mixed media product – I used texture paste, ink and acrylic paint
2. Stickers – I have used the mini triangle banners and the kaisercraft clear sticker title
3. Embellishments – flowers, stars, hearts…
4. Fibre – cotton/thread/ribbon/twine… – handmade felt hessian and lace heart
5. A household item to create texture – bubble wrap, dishwashing sponge, napkins. – I used gutter guard to apply the tinted texture paste and a lunch wrap roll to make the black circles

Over at Archiscraps the brief was to create something bright !! What a scrap stash busting treat.

Smile

Hi, We spend a lot of time on the water living near the beautiful Whitsunday area in North Queensland and I have so many beautiful photos of the area.  So…. the “take me to the ocean” challenge from Challenge YOUrself was a great opportunity to scrap some of these pics. I have combined this challenge with the sketch from Sketches in Thyme and also the moodboard challenge from Off the Rails. Thank you to all the design teams for your fab inspiration.

Here is my take

I have used the traditional cues from CSI – the colour palette from the scheme, floral ( yellow paper ) leaves and glasses from the evidence and my testimony is to document something summery.257 copybanner_r3

http://kaisercraft.com.au

Flowers , flowers and more flowers – that’s this months challenge over at the Kaisercraft blog. The “True  Love” collection was a perfect collection for this challenge and I fussy cut flowers to surround my photo. Some of the background paper also has flowers. I used the  floral stencil from the Kaisercraft Butterfly Designer template to stencil in white gesso  and added some Kaisercraft paper blooms and some sprigs from the Kaisercraft decorative die -Berry Vine in black Kaisercard. I have also added some stickers from the True Live sticker sheet.

Thanks for another inspiring challenge

White with 1 – July Challenge

This month over at White with 1, the feature colour is Air Bubble – a lovely shade of blue. The design team have come up with some fabulous inspiration to kick start our creativity too.

Thanks for another fabulous challenge

Here is my take – I have used some gorgeous maya design papers, Kaisercard,  a 2 crafty frame painted with white gesso, blue star sequins, a star chippie and letters from my stash ( not sure of the brand) and a 13Arts stencil over colourblast just blue mist. The heart flair is hand stitched.
