show us your stuff – June challenge

Here is this months challenge over at Show us Your Stuff

All you need to do is use this sketch anyway you like, as long as we can see the bones of the sketch (check the DT inspiration below – they are all such different takes on the challenge!), include at least one of the abandoned items from the list, and of course, your handmade item! Simple! 🙂

I love using things from my stash. I am such a hoarder and for this challenge I was able to use eyelets, hessian, twine and a button. I couldn’t quite manage to include any bling though! The star is handmade using insect screen and felt.

June challenge – ‘3 today’

Hi, I have combined two challenges today. I loved the Stuck?! sketch and the colours in the Scrap the girls moodboard seemed perfect for these little photos of my granddaughter with her new bike.

Lessology #59 Neon Inspired

I love these challenges which encourage us to save potentially unwanted items and reuse them. My background paper was a discarded experiment that didn’t suit the project I was working on at the time so it went in the “re purpose bag” – fortunately I was able to cover the teal mist with the photo and background papers. I am not sure what I was thinking at the time but it was a not pretty!! Sorry but I didn’t think to photograph it before I covered it. The mini tag on the bottom right was a price tag – almost a thing of the past but there it was in my stash. The pink stripe paper is a patchwork of scraps too and of course that is only half a doily.

This Life is Wonderful

This month I have combined Challenge YOUrself and another Freaking Scrappy challenge using circles as my geometric shape and the word wonderful. I have scrapped a fun selfie of my husband and I with two friends posing in front of a rock formation on the beach at Hook Island in the Whitsundays.

Another tricky challenge from Kraft Plus!

I have had a jigsaw die in my collection for ages but I am ashamed to say I had never used it   – until now! thanks for the inspiration. I love this photo of the twins who have such different personalities but who complement each other perfectly.

Over at the Artastic challenge blog there is such a fun challenge

“This month we have a rather different artwork for you by Anna Collins called Top Hat Tiger.  I just love this – so much fun !  So please take some inspiration from the artwork for your submission – maybe you love that fun element and want to run with it or perhaps play around with a cat or top hat theme.  Perhaps your first thought was a trip to the zoo or attending a formal function or wedding where everyone was dressed to the nines.  Maybe you just like black and white stripes!  Whatever the inspiration we would love to see your page – and remember our criteria this month of Black and White plus one other colour can be any you like.”

Here is my take on this wonderful challenge. I was inspired by the black and white animal theme and have chosen to scrap the new puppy using black and white and green

123 Challenge blog -June

123-challenge-june-2016

Hi here is my take on the challenge. I don’t have much in the way of lilac  in my stash but have incorporated a little behind the photo and behind the slashed border in this layout of my granddaughters puppet show. I have also included some lilac  star brads
