Kaisercraft sketch challenge – March

What a great sketch this month over at the kaisercraft blog – a multi photo challenge. I love to use more than 1 photo to tell the story. Thanks for the inspiration. I have used papers and embellishments from the High Tide collection and some wooden kaiser words with the addition of some hessian and corrugated card.I used a kaisercraft punch for the tags and kaisercraft “bark” ink too.

Here is my take on the sketchDSC01317.JPG

Beautiful OBP

I am combining a couple of challenges with this layout that I have done using a photo of an endangered Orange Breasted Parrot (OBP). I was lucky enough to spot this bird whilst on a a trip to the Tasmanian Wilderness. The Wildlife program that is monitoring the birds is having some success and it is believed that the numbers are growing – perhaps a rebirth of the species, a tiny miracle.   I have used a variety of fibres and textures in the layout  and fussy cut leaves, flowers and butterflies. I have used mainly yellows and browns – the colours of nature.

Thanks for the inspiration

My Boy

I love getting messy so the challenges at Scrapbookit and Colourful creations were perfect for a mixed media background. The challenge to create a boy page and to use just one colour in a monochromatic layout seemed to go together with the colour brown. I have used a variety of mixed media products including sprays paint and texture paste. I have also included hessian florists mesh corrugated card twine and stitching

Thanks for the inspiration
