Hi, I am combining 2 challenges with this layout- the fabulous Scrap Our Stash blend a sketch and the CSI case file 260

For the SOS blend a sketch I have used the background from the left hand sketch with the photo placement from the right hand side and some arrows.

Scrap the Girls -August challenge

Ahoy Me Hearties

Hello, I really had some fun with this layout which looks nothing like I imagined it would when I started!! I used the sketch from Sketches in Thyme to get me started and solved the CSI challenge case file  #259 as well as Golden Globe stash challenge from Scrap Our Stash. Thanks to the three blog sites for their fabulous inspiration and their design teams for sharing their fabulous projects.

Here is my layout – with a photo of my grandchildren playing “pirates” with the swing set converted to a pirate ship complete with rigging and a flag. You have to love their imagination!!  I was inspired by the colours in the SOS moodboard  and have included the word friend in my journal tag.

I have solved the  CSI challenge by using the colour scheme from the scene, a map (treasure map under my journalling) a white background and stamping. The children were on school vacation when they came to play at our place.

Creative Embellishments August Challenge

Hi, This month the challenge over at Creative Embellishments is to be inspired by at least one element in the moodboard and to also include something reflective.

The deep blue and gold colours in the moodboard and the reflections reminded me immediately of this photo taken in Myanmar – a photo of my reflection in a silver fence filial with the golden pagoda and deep blue sky in the background.  I have used reflective silver corrugated card in the photo mount and one of the tags is silver too. The Creative Embellishments silver “Shine” flair seemed perfect to finish off my layout.

Archiscraps August Challenge

Ohh!! these are such lovely colours in this months moodboard over at Archi-scraps. Thanks Julene and the team for your great inspiration.

Here is my take. The ombre hand stitched heart and tassel reflect the 4 shades of green/turquoise/aqua that I have used in the layout.
