Enjoy Every Moment

I had fun combining a few challenges with the fabulous sketch from Stuck?! sketches. I have used a monochromatic colour scheme on a white background to highlight the green outdoor feel of my photo. Thanks for the inspiration.

The second challenge for April over at the Studio Challenges blogspot is to use a quote – I have used “Enjoy Every Moment”

The Studio Badge

Over at Colourful creations the mid month challenge is to use products starting with the first letter of your name. This was fun trying to think of things starting J (my name is Judy) – I settled on jade green,  jute (used for matting under the photo), journalling blocks which I have also used as photo mats and of course journalling. I also used Jak paper to adhere the jute!

And finally the moodboard over at Creative embellishments is all about Spring and flowers . I was immediately drawn to the vibrant green colour of the moodboard and the “outdoor” themes .

Imagine

Hi, I am combining a couple of challenges with this layout – the tic tac toe prompts from Scrap Our Stash and the sketch and inspiration boards from GrandDivas Creative Corner and Rochelle Spears April Rewind challenge. I have used the diagonal top right to bottom left – chevrons, flowers and hello and been inspired by the bicycle theme of the inspiration board

Thanks for the challenge – here is my take.

Kraft Plus April Challenge

Wow! I love to up cycle and using paint swatches sounded like a great idea from the team over at Kraft Plus. I have had the penguin photo printed for ages but could never seem to be able to decide on a colour scheme – cream tones in the swatches seemed to be the answer. Thanks for the challenge.

Smile

I loved the simplicity of the April 1 challenge over at Stuck?! sketches which allowed me to use a mixed media background. I have also used feathers which are the challenge over at The Creative Studio and the colours from the moodboard of rusty reds , brown and grey also inspired me. #ccbchallenge  . The photo I have used is of 2 tiny penguins who are losing their baby down. I have used mists and masks and paint in my background and added a hand stitched heart button. Thanks for another inspirational challenge.

Here is my take.

Everyday moment

Hi, I love to up cycle. The challenge over at Off the Rails is to do just that and at Berry71bleu the moodboard says everything that is old is new again and the colours were very masculine.  So….I have recycled the background cardstock which I had originally used to protect my work area when I was misting and practising with water-soluble crayons!! I have misted and used a variety of stencils and gesso on top of this.  I have also used clothing tags, hessian scraps and a scrap piece of cog. The corrugated card strip came from a cardboard box, The title is new!! Thanks for the inspiration.

Inspire

Hi, I generally dislike having my photo taken so challenges that require a photo of yourself are a real challenge!!  However I am up to the challenge and have used a photo taken of me at the Bernacchi Tribute in Hobart. I love the bronze self portrait statues of the early Antarctic Explorer – it really inspired me to put myself out there. I have used some beautiful papers and embellishments from Cocoa Vanilla.

Thanks for the challenge.
